Ingredients used for making veggie burger meatloaf
Bran flakes
We like bran crumbs better than plain crumbs because they go well with meat and spices. The bread crumbs inside the loaf act as a glue that keeps the loaf from falling apart after baking.
Plant-based milk
Most plant-based milk is grown and harvested sustainably, including soy, coconut, oat, hemp, rice, quinoa, pea, almond, and others. Milk comes in a variety of varieties to accommodate individual preferences. For example, Meatloaf needs more moisture; you can add milk to absorb the bread crumbs.
Frozen mixed vegetables
Chopped frozen veggies are the ideal addition to this impossible burger meatloaf recipe. The best method for preparing the Meatloaf vegetables is to sauté them in olive oil or vegan butter. As a result, the Vegan Meatloaf will benefit from the additional moisture they provide.
Whole wheat flour or spelt flour
Depending on your desire, spelt or whole wheat flour is best to prepare the buns for the vegetarian meatloaf burgers.
Sweet basil
The taste of sweet basil is clean and fresh, with a hint of black pepper and aftertastes of anise and mint. This spice will make the meatloaf taste even better.
Garlic powder
In this recipe, a small amount of garlic goes a long way, but it’s worth it because it makes the meatloaf flavor and smells good.
Cayenne pepper
In contrast to the aromas and tastes of smoked paprika, cayenne pepper is neither smoky nor earthy. Your Meatloaf will benefit significantly from its mostly spicy and slightly fruity flavor character.
Irish potato
The skin of an Irish potato may be any color, from white to yellow to even red. They have a moderate flavor and are often cooked and mashed before being served. Due to their low calorie and fat content, Irish potatoes are a good choice for those who are dieting or just trying to maintain a healthy weight.
Onions
The combination of chopped onion and vegan meat makes this meal special. The Meatloaf should not have large bits of onion; therefore, chop the onions. You can also use onion powder as a substitute.
Celery
The intense flavor of celery derives from its sweet and salty ability. Therefore, the flavor and moisture of the Meatloaf will be unaffected by the addition of celery.
How to store the leftover Meatloaf?
Do you have any leftover meatloaf and want to enjoy the leftover later? If that’s the case, leftover meatloaf is simple to store and reheat for another meal. This toothsome loaf’s taste and texture stay the same if stored correctly. This cooked Meatloaf should be stored in an airtight, sealed container or securely wrapped in heavy-duty aluminum foil or plastic wrap in the refrigerator to maintain its safety and flavor. The prepared vegan Meatloaf can be kept for up to four days if properly refrigerated. You can store the cooked Meatloaf longer by freezing it in airtight containers, freezer bags, aluminum foil, or plastic wrap.
How to keep the Meatloaf from falling apart?
Whether or whether the Meatloaf you serve is moist and sticks well depends much on its presentation and texture. There are several potential causes of your Meatloaf falling apart, but the most common is an insufficient amount of binding ingredients, such as breadcrumbs. This is essential for ensuring that the meat mixture will hold together during and after cooking. Check that the recipe’s quantity of breadcrumbs you’ve used is correct.
What is the secret of moist Meatloaf?
You need not fret if your Meatloaf is as dry as the Sahara, causing you to feel as if you are biting sand rather than Meatloaf. Instead, add some finely chopped or pureed aromatic vegetables to the Meatloaf to moisten it. This process makes the result not only juicier but also more flavorful.
You can use vegetables like onions, carrots, celery, green beans, cayenne peppers, and Irish potatoes. Before adding them to the Meatloaf, sauté the vegetables in vegan butter or olive oil. So, they’ll add even more of their moisture to the Meatloaf by putting it in the loaf.
What to serve with veggie burger meatloaf?
Meatloaf goes well with many sides, including cornbread, mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, honey-glazed carrots, and so on. You may make some quick bread while you have the oven on for the Meatloaf. Make some dinner rolls in the oven to complement the Meatloaf. You are welcome to use the provided soft bread to sop up the gravy.
However, mashed potatoes continue to be the go-to meatloaf accompaniment. I never get sick of serving it with Meatloaf. Meatloaf with mashed potatoes is an irresistible flavor duo. Additionally, there is no real preparation required. The potatoes, butter, cheese, and minced garlic may all be mashed together.
If you are still determining which side dish best complements your Meatloaf, offer them all! To accompany your Meatloaf, try roasting some of your favorite veggies for a tasty and nutritious side dish. To prepare the recipe, chop red and yellow bell peppers, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, potatoes, and red onions into small cubes. You can roast them by spreading them out on a baking pan and brushed with olive oil before being placed in the oven. The colors are so vibrant that they may overpower the Meatloaf you’re serving.
