It was 12 midnight, and I could not sleep. After spending time in devotions I decided to do some experiment with guess what? Plant-Based Crackers! Here is what I came up with. Crisp, slightly cheesy, and light crackers. Amazing crackers that can be used for birthday parties and more.
These Plant-Based Crackers would go well with several recipes I have on this website:
Ingredients
- PLANT-BASED CRACKERS
- 1 1/2 cups All Purpose flour
- 2 Tbsp Almond flour, opt.
- 2 Tbsp Nutritional yeast, opt.
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 T olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Add all the ingredients to a food processor, if you have. Otherwise use a large mixing bowl.
- Pulse the ingredients in the food processor until it resembles a ball of dough.
- Roll out the dough using 2 parchment papers. one on each side.
- Roll until very thin,
- Take a cookie cutter or a pizza cutter and cut squares.
- Bake at 370 for about 12-15 minutes.
- Serve when cool. Save the rest in a airtight container so it can reserve it's freshness.
Notes
These crackers can stay fresh longer if stored in an airtight container. I also tried lacing them in the refrigerator and they stayed fresh there also, with a crunch.
