I truly enjoy this simple CHIA BOWL recipe, almost every day for BREAKFAST. Ever since I have had weight issues and was diagnosed border line diabetic, I realized that I would need to make some adjustments to my diet and lifestyle in order to maintain my weight lost. I have a raw breakfast everyday! I love it!
This Chia cereal is filled with fiber and will help to stabilize blood glucose, lower cholesterol, contribute to a healthy digestion, prevent constipation and promotes good gut health.
INGREDIENTS IN CHIA BOWL
Chia
Chia is a seed that is high in fiber, protein and very filling.
Almond Nuts
Almond nuts or any nut of your choosing can be used for this recipe. This will add fiber and of course on choosing to use the nut of your choice you will be making your own, home-made milk.
Vanilla
A drop of vanilla ill give this home-made breakfast cereal the added rich taste and aroma of vanilla bean.
Dates
Dates ae my favorite sweetener because in addition to the fact that they are sweet, they have fiber and will help to keep the blood glucose stable.
Salt
Toppings
The good thing about the chia bowl is you can choose to top it with whatever toppings you have in your kitchen. If you are diabetic then the berries would be best, other wise do enjoy the variety of toppings from God’s colorful garden.

Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp Chia seeds
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 3 Dates, pitted
- 1 tsp Vanilla flavoring
- pinch of salt
- 1/4 Cup Shredded Coconut
- TOPPING
- 4 Strawberries
- 1/2 Cup Blackberries
- 1/4 Cup Walnuts
- 1/8 Cup Shredded Coconut
Instructions
- water, almonds, vanilla, and salt.
- Blend the ingredients until they are smooth.
- Pour the liquified contents from the blender into a small breakfast bowl and whisk very well or the chia will clump together.
- Add the shredded coconut and stir it in well.
- Allow the mixture to sit for at least 15 - 20 minutes before eating and the chia will expand. It is best to leave it overnight if time allows.
- Top with your favorite fruit and enjoy.
Notes
This Chia Pudding will last in the refrigerator for about 4-5 days.
Make sure to keep the chia pudding in a covered container so ensure that it stays fresh.
Add fresh fruit just before you eat it, so that the fruit will will be fresh.
