What Ingredients do You Need for Banana Iron Drink?
Boiled Bananas
Making a banana drink is so simple and delicious, and the best part is that you only need green bananas. So, grab a few green bananas, rinse them off with cold water, and boil them for about fifteen minutes or until softened.
Dates
Suppose you’re looking for a healthier alternative to adding your beloved sugar to your favorite drink. In that case, natural sweeteners like dates make a great substitution! Dates contain minerals like calcium and iron. They are also rich in several vitamins, such as thiamin, riboflavin, and vitamin B-6.
Not only are dates good for you, but they can give beverages a unique flavor depending on the type of dates used. So whether you buy dates, dried or fresh, they’ll satisfy that sweet tooth without giving up too much on the health side.
Vanilla
Give your banana iron drink a flavor boost by adding one tablespoon of good-quality vanilla extract. You’ll be amazed by how it transforms the taste and adds complexity, making your homemade drink even better. Vanilla imparts a delicious, rich flavor.
Using vanilla extract, you can make an ordinary banana drink into something truly extraordinary. So take advantage of an opportunity to enjoy this classic combination – with just one simple addition, you can take your banana iron beverage to another level.
Coconut Milk
Adding coconut milk to beverages is a great way to spice up your day. It has a delicious, tropical flavor that will make your favorite drinks feel like a mini vacation! One of the most significant benefits of using coconut milk instead of regular dairy milk is that it is lower in calories and fat, making it a healthier choice.
On top of that, its high magnesium and potassium content can keep your mind alert, and your body feeling energized throughout the day. So look no further than coconut milk. It’ll do the trick!
Cinnamon or Coriander
Adding spices like cinnamon or coriander to beverages can be surprisingly beneficial! They add a unique and delicious flavor. Moreover, both of these spices provide various health benefits. Cinnamon balances blood sugar, aids digestion, and provides anti-inflammatory properties. While coriander helps with sleep issues, rids the body of toxins, and freshens breath.
So next time you reach for your favorite drink, why not add one of these tasty spices? It may just give you a pleasant surprise!
Cardamom
Cardamom is an incredibly flavorful and healthy spice that adds a delightfully nutty and sweet flavor to many beverages. Aside from its unique and fantastic taste, cardamom has terrific health benefits. It reduces inflammation, provides vitamin A to your system, improves digestion, and even acts as an antiviral agent.
In addition, it can help relieve nausea, reduce blood pressure levels, and even be beneficial for weight loss. Therefore, to enhance the flavor of the banana iron drink, I have added this unique ingredient to the list!
How to Make Banana Iron Drink?
Lacking iron in your diet can leave you tired and low in energy, but improving it is possible with a simple solution; Banana iron drink.
Here’s how you can make it in a few simple steps!
With the right ingredients, boil three bananas in three cups of water for 15 minutes. Once filtered and cooled off, you’ll be able to drink it over the next three days to boost your intake of this vital mineral. A great trick is keeping this pre-made mixture in the refrigerator so that making yourself a cup anytime is quick and easy; after all, having enough iron will allow you to feel at your best!
The result is a nutrient-packed beverage bursting with iron and other essential minerals. Enjoy this delicious drink anytime as part of your regular healthy diet.
Why Can’t You Eat Green Bananas?
Eating green bananas may seem manageable, but there’s more to this unripe fruit than meets the eye! Unripe bananas contain tannins, bitter compounds that give the banana its tart flavor. As the banana ripens, these tannins gradually break down and convert into simpler sugar molecules, resulting in a sweeter and softer texture.
Not only that, but your friendly neighborhood green banana also contains resistant starch. This type isn’t digested in the body. Therefore, boiling green bananas first is best to achieve health benefits and avoid gut discomfort.
What are the Other Ways to Consume Green Bananas?
Let me tell you something! If you are wondering what to do with green bananas, making a banana iron drink is not the only option you have. There are plenty of others. I am discussing a few of them here.
You can easily make the classic banana bread with that fruit, or you could get creative and make banana muffins. For those of us with a sweet tooth, consider freezing the bananas and blending them in a plate-licking smoothie. If you think bananas are bland, add some other flavors, like blueberry, to mix it up! No matter how you decide to use your green bananas, the possibilities for deliciously mouthwatering recipes are unlimited.
