Roasted Oat Milk has a rich, nutty flavor, sweet light and delicious. It is enjoyable and amazingly easy to make.
As I surfed the internet for Oat Milk Recipes, I found that not one had roasted the oats prior to using it for milk. The oats is a grain and grains need to be cooked before consuming. Uncooked grains of any kind is hard on the digestion and should be avoided. In addition according to studies, uncooked grains can also contribute to memory loss.
You should give this milk a try, you will not regret it.

Ingredients
- 1 cup oats, quick

- 3-4 dates or 3 Tbsp maple syrup
- 1/2 tsp salt

- Roast the oats in the skillet for about 10 minutes on low, tossing or stirring continuously so it does not burn.
- Pour the oats into the blender.
- Add the other ingredients into the blender and blend on high no longer than 30 seconds. This ensures it doesn't become slimy.
- Use a fine strainer or a cheesecloth and strain the milk to separate the fiber from the milk.
- Chill and serve.
- Enjoy.
Notes
How to Ensure the Milk is not slimy?
- Do not blend longer than 30 seconds.
- Do not squeeze the milk that is left in the strainer, just allow it to drip until it is done. This ensures that the milk is not slimy.
