I first want to thank you Marlene for this program, your insight wisdom that God has given you and for sharing. What you have is a gem that I want, and I am absorbing and going to get. Thanks to you I have made some great changes in my life, and I am a testimony in the way I feel, the way I look and act. It has been a tremendous journey and I can’t thank you enough. My daughter asked me, when will it end? I told her, this is a way of life. I have made changes to my household’s diet, and they are enjoying it also.
During this journey, I went back to the vegan diet, one that calls for lots of discipline, and surrendering the appetite to God so that He can deal with it. I have lost 30 pounds in 3 months. My husband says Sherry, you look phenomenal. My husband drives a box car, a very low car and I was having problems getting out of the car and he would have to push me from behind each morning so that I can get out. Now I’m hoping out and he’s like ‘go girl’, I am grateful to God that I have been able to be a part of this program, the exercise. The Melt takes getting used to, but it is worth it. It transforms mind, body, and spirit. Thanks again Marlene, you are phenomenal, and I am a testimony! Even when I travel for work, I stay with my diet, travelling with my food; sourcing vegan restaurants so that I will not fall short of this program. I work out in the bathroom when I travel so as not to disturb my husband who travels with me. At home I work out in the powder room, and I must use at least 15 pieces of hand towels each morning to know that I have done well. I went from a size 14 to a loosely fitting size 10. I feel the shrink in the clothes.
The Melt is where it’s at. Now I am just toning. You can do it. I am one year away from 60 and after passing 50 your body experience strange things. My dad lived to 97, and one week before he died, he said, “girl, take care of yourself and then you will be able to take care of Todd and the Girls. Look at how you have let yourself go. You have a young-looking husband, so do it.” I am being intentional with the way I am living no. It takes study, prayer, and it’s priceless. God has been good.

It all started again, I felt like I was going to die from suffocation as thoughts of not being able to breathe went through my head. I literally felt like I was drowning. Three years ago, I had suffered from the same symptoms. The ENT Doctor said I had to have a thyroidectomy and that it was urgent that I do the surgery as soon as possible or I might die. The news of this made me frightened. I told my husband who encouraged me to go to Uchee Pines. After attending a 17-day program I was finally eating vegan food every day. I felt much better, and all symptoms were gone.
In late July of this year, after about one and half years of stopping my vegan diet. The symptoms came back again. I went to another ENT Doctor who after doing scans of my thyroid and sinuses, said that My sinuses were severely compromised, and I would need surgery to correct the issue. I immediately contacted Uchee Pines, but I would not be able to attend right away. That week I was led to start doing some of the things that I had learned three years ago. I went on a 3 day fast and thereafter started on a vegan diet. Fear will cause you to do things you know you could not do on your own. God was with me just as He had always been. He is a promise keeper and reminded me that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
This very same week Marlene called me to ask a favor, little did she know that God had sent her for such a time as this. He uses His earthy vessels to accomplish His will for our lives. After connecting with Marlene, I shared what I was going through, and she informed me about the program that she was offering. I was so happy that I could join this group and get the support from others who were struggling with lifestyle illnesses. I spent the first two weeks exercising, and following the 18 hours fast, eating only two meals a day program. I also listened to the weekly health lectures. Literally after two weeks, I was feeling so much better, all the symptoms of feeling like I was drowning and of dying were all gone. I had more energy than I had before, and I had lost about 6/7 pounds. I am thankful to God for connecting Marlene and me. I am also grateful for the opportunity to share my experience so that others will see that God has something better in store for them as well. I pray that God will continue to direct my path as I continue my health journey.
