My mom and her family were extremely weight-conscious and made life difficult for us as children, especially if we were a bit chunky. I was chunky. I started exercising and watching what I ate, and the results would always be that I would lose weight. However, I grew tired of running so hard to maintain the size I knew I was healthier at.

It has always been a struggle. I would even form groups at school to exercise with. It was fun and exciting sharing, and I sincerely cared about my classmates. This journey was a learning experience and I would forever treasure those fond memories.
